The different phrases of pre-production are planning and research. To do this we employed different methods of research such as secondary and primary research. Secondary research means information that already exists on the internet or library ect. Primary research means information that has to be collected by the people who require it. This involves questionnaires and surveys. We used the internet and information gathered in our questionnaires in order to do our research. Thanks to the questionnaires we found out about peoples real life experiences with bullying and what effects bullying has had on different types of people. We also found out some solutions to bullying such as helplines and advice. We would find these via the internet and questionnaires filled out by real people with past experiences to bullying.

The tasks that we completed were research, planning, filming and acting. To do this we required skills. These include teamwork, origination, time keeping, camera work and editing skills. In our groups we all had important roles to play. For instance Shaun was the director, Stacey was the producer, Me and Tom were the editors and Jordan was the crew. I feel that we all worked well playing our different rolls in the group.

To make our documentary we used a number of different facilities such as the TV studio (for use of the green screen), the classroom (to edit and research the topic) and locations such as different parts of the college. In the future to reserve the facilities we will need to book them in advance so that the facilities are defiantly available and so that they are reserved for us on the day we want. To make our documentary we required the use of camera, tripods, green screen, macs, final cut pro and lighting on the green screen. All these items were provided by the college. Once we had collected the equipment we would have to check they are fully working and not damaged, if they were we had to report them straight away. We also had to identify the locations before production began. We done this by carrying out a risk assessment of the area. When filming on location for example the town centre, we require filming permission. This is to prevent people from suing us.
