Idea 1

The Glass Phone

The glassPhone

This is my first design and idea for a glassPhone. The phone is made entirely of glass, with the tops and bottoms of the phone colored so that the user can see the phone when its in standby and to hide the motherboard and battery. The phone features a 3.7″ glass touch screen, voice control, front facing camera, HD rear facing camera, speakers, HD screen and a transparent design. The glass will be toughened to prevent shattering or damage to the phones glass design. The home button will be touch sensitive to improve user experience and to keep the phone modern.

My target audience will be teenagers to mid adults aged 15-50. This is because the phone will be marketed as a modern, futuristic product. The theme of this product is business and general use. This means the phone will be marketed towards business people and will have to include loads of cutting edge features as well as being used as a general everyday phone, used by everyday people.

Idea 2

X-Ray Glasses

My second idea is for a pair of X-Ray glasses. These glasses will come in male and female models and different shapes, styles and colours. The glasses will look like normal glasses but once switched on are actually X-Ray glasses as well as featuring a display showing anything you want. For example the weather, the date, face recognition, automatically dim in bright sunlight and a pedometer so that the user can keep track of there daily walking patterns. The glasses will cost around £100 which is the normal price when buying top designer glasses.

My target audience will be male or female from the ages of 20-40. The glasses will also be a huge hit by airport security guards, instead of the traditional metal detecting machines, which aren’t as portable and easy to use as these X-Ray glasses.

Idea 3

Digital Retro JukeBox

My third idea if for a digital Jukebox. The jukebox features a classic, retro design. The jukebox will be compatible with iPhones, iPods, iPads, PCs and macs. Simply plug in your divide and you have access to your entire music library on a 11 inch touch screen. The jukebox will also feature high quality speakers with optional external speakers. The juke box will cost around £600 and its target audience is for ages 17-30, male and female.  Also a cool deign feature, colour changing LED lights around the outside of the box to give the jukebox a appealing design.

Idea 4

Headphone holder and wireless charging station

My final idea is for a wireless, battery powered headphone stand. This is a rough design. As well as holding your headphones in a stylish chrome stand, the stand will also wirelessly charge your battery powered headphones. Instead of using traditional batteries in your headphones. first insert the rechargeable batteries that are supplied with the stand into your headphones, and you can begin charging wirelessly. My target audience are teenagers, male and female aged between 13 and 20. The stand will be compatible with any headphones powered by batteries. The stand will cos around £40 and no longer will you need to buy batteries or realise that your headphones aren’t charged.

Features:

  • Glossy black base
  • Chrome stand
  • Wireless charging
